Emory's Winter Onederland

I had so much fun planning Emory's first birthday party! Her birthday is in the dead of winter so it was only fitting to do a cute Winter ONEderland theme!

Twelve Months

Happy First Birthday, Emory!!!

 

I know I say it every month but I seriously can't believe a whole year has come and gone. To say this was the best year of our lives would be an understatement! You have brought unbelievable joy to our family since day 1 and we can't imagine life without you!

 

For your birthday, I took off work after lunch and brought you and your friends snack at school and then took you home early. We went to eat Mexican later that night with some of our coaching friends! We sang happy birthday to you and gave you your very first cupcake--you thought it was the greatest thing ever!

 

Stats:

Weight: 24lbs, 8oz (95th %)

Height: 30.75 inches (96th %)

 

Eating: We recently switched you to all daycare food in preparation for your new class. This means we don't provide any food for you, you eat what the "big kids" eat + your formula. I was super nervous you would refuse to eat it but you did SO well! They said you eat absolutely everything! Go Emory!!! You do really well with your sippy cup but you're not too fond of drinking milk out of it. Our next mission is all whole milk and no bottle, stay tuned!

 

Sleeping: You're still a rock star sleeper! Still sleeping 12+ hours at night and taking 2 (1-2 hour) naps at home.

 

Sizes: Size 3 diapers, all 12 month clothing but you could totally wear most 18 month too!

 

What's New:

-You're still not a full time walker although I don't think it will be long!

-Your 3rd tooth just broke through!

-You can say: Dada, Baba, Dog (Pronounced Doog), Mama, & Bye-Bye

-You blow kisses like a champ :)

-You still LOVE bath time and cry when it's time to get out

 

Emory, we thank God everyday for you! You're such a blessing and the light of our lives!

 

Happy First Birthday my little love. We love you more than you'll ever know and we can't wait to see what this next year brings!

Christmas Day 2013

John and I were so excited for Christmas morning! We actually had to wake our little sleepy head up so she could see her Santa goodies! She didn't know what to think about it all and was unsure about all the picture taking. My Dad got his crew up at the crack of dawn so they could be there to see her open her gifts. We cooked a big breakfast and just enjoyed  watching E play!

Santa Loot: Little Tikes play house, PB anywhere chair, new backpack and luggage, sippy cups, bath toys, and books!

Christmas Eve 2013

Christmas Eve at my Mamaw and Papaw's house is always a special time. This year was extra special because our sweet Emory was there! She had the best time and was spoiled rotten!

Eleven Months

Bug, you are 11 months old!!!

I can't believe you will be 1 next month. Blows my mind! As you can tell, we just take what we can get when it comes to pictures. You would rather do anything else than sit still and smile!

 

I won't lie, this month was tough for us. You were sick a lot and you cut another tooth and this one wasn't so easy on us. You were very sassy this month. You threw a lot of fits and even did a little bit of hitting and pinching. I just wasn't so sure what got into my sweet, happy girl! I think we're starting to come out of it though because you have had much better days lately.

 

So, you now have your two bottom, front teeth!!!

 

You're still a super fast crawler and you walk around the furniture with ease. You're so proud of yourself too! You give the best open mouth kisses and you blow kisses to everyone! Bath time is your absolute favorite. You cry every night when we get you out. Your new thing is licking the bathtub water (like a dog). Silly girl!

 

Eating: Schedule is still the same. You're doing better with textures! You still love yogurt melts and puffs and would live off them if I'd let you. You tried cheese and green beans without gagging and actually looked as if you were enjoying it!

 

Sleeping: Still the same!

 

Sizes: Size 3 diapers and nighttime diapers. 12 month clothing and we moved to 12 month footed pajamas this month. Size 3 shoe.

 

Play: You're not really into any toys this month. You would much rather play in the Tupperware cabinet or with some kitchen utensils.
