Third Trimester: Weeks 28-40

The third trimester brought A LOT more heartburn, very little sleep, and seemed to drag on and on. I took very few pictures because the camera was not my friend by this point!

 

28 weeks 4 days

 

At 36 weeks we began our weekly appointments! Every week we were so excited to go see if I had made any progress. We determined we have a very stubborn child! Despite a lot of extra walking, (John would drag me to Northpark mall after work to walk) every week it was the same story, no dilation but "thinning." At our 38 week appointment I kindly asked my doctor for a plan. Would we stay on Emory's time and risk possibly delivering a 9lb baby or would we give her an eviction notice??  After weighing the options, we all decided an induction at 39 weeks would be best! Emory's birthday will be January 9, 2013!!!

Nursery Reveal!!!

We finally finished Emory's nursery! All we need is HER!

The blanket on the chair was made for me before I was born but the lady ended up never finishing it. My Mamaw saved it and finished it for Emory! 

The board above her changing table says "Every good and perfect gift is from above." Her newborn pictures will hang from the clips!

The baskets hold all of her socks, hats, books, and toys.

Weaver Christmas 2012

We spent Christmas morning/day with John's parents. We usually go back to Rolling Fork that afternoon but the weather was really yucky this year so we just stayed in Vicksburg.

Yay! A new laptop!

Christmas Eve 2012

We always spend Christmas Eve at my Mamaw and Papaw's house and it's one of my favorite times of the year. Lots of family, food, and fun!

Holcomb Tacky Christmas 2012

This year the Holcomb's did Tacky Christmas at my Aunt Tracy's house. I thought it was fitting to dress like Santa Claus. John cut up a shirt from Wal-Mart and made it look like a tacky vest!

Baby Showers Part II!

Our sweet life group at church gave us a little diaper shower before Sunday School one morning! We had breakfast and cake of course!

 

Some of the coaches wives and Moms from John's school got together and threw us a couples shower that same afternoon! We had a lot of fun and once again got tons of sweet gifts for baby Emory!

 

Last but not least, we had the "aunts" shower as we call it! All of John's aunts on his Mom's side give all the nieces wedding and baby showers.
