Happy Half Birthday to you!!!
Emmy, I can't believe you're six months old! I know I'm partial but I think you're the sweetest, funniest, and happiest baby there is! I love love love being home with you on my days off; you're just so much fun!
This has been a busy month for us! You had a week-long stomach bug that caused really bad diarrhea and a nasty diaper rash. You couldn't stay at daycare of coarse, so Mama had to take her first 'sick day' off to stay home with you! I didn't mind one bit :). You ran your first fever this month too (100.9), which turned out to be another ear infection. I really thought it was going to be something else because you've had several ear infections before and never run fever with any of them! We're thankful that's all it was!
In other news, you're rolling both ways with ease now and you think you're big stuff! Whenever you roll over you'll look up at us and smile so big! You're sitting up really well but not completely unassisted. It definitely won't be long though.
You got to experience your first Fourth of July this month too! Every year on the fourth we go to the lake (your Great Uncle Neal and Great Aunt Kyla's house) to eat and enjoy our big family! Most of the out of town family come down so it's a lot of fun catching up! Everyone was so excited to finally meet you! I was pregnant with you last year (and oh so sick!) so it was fun to show you off this year! It was also our first time to spend the night away from home with you. We packed up ALL your stuff and stayed at Pop and Lollie's house for the weekend. I was nervous you wouldn't sleep well in your pack n play but you were perfect!
Here's a few pictures from that weekend:
Pop, Lollie, Aunt B, Uncle Will, Uncle Taylor, and Savannah came over on Father's Day because Daddy was out of town. We grilled burgers and hot dogs and watched a movie.
You made Daddy a card at daycare for Father's Day

Four Generations
Early morning breakfast at Grandmothers. She makes the best biscuits and chocolate gravy- next year you can have some!
Hanging out with Grandmother
Uncle Will sneaking in some lovin'! He has to steal you away when Aunt B isn't looking- she's kind of a baby hog :)
Blurry iPhone picture- Aunt B helped you 'play' in the sprinklers!
We had such a fun weekend!
Since you were just at the doctor's office the other day we do have some stats:
Weight: 18lbs 10oz (90%)
Length: 26 3/4 (98%)
We go to your six month appointment at the end of the week!
Eating: Still on Alimentum and eating 6oz every 3.5-4 hours. You tried some rice cereal this month! You loved it, of coarse, but you got a weird rash on your bottom. I quit feeding you the cereal and it went away. So I decided we'll just skip the cereal and wait until we go to your six month appointment to discuss starting fruits and veggies!
Sleep: We've had some rough weeks with sleep this month. For a week straight you randomly started waking up at 4 a.m. You wouldn't wake up crying, just kind of fussing. So instead of trying to rock you back to sleep, we did what we shouldn't have done and just put you in the bed with us. Well the next week you got sick so I let you sleep in our bed a few more times and now you're on the mend but still waking up (now around 2 a.m.) for no reason. As soon as I put you in the bed with us, you start smiling, rubbing our faces, and you go right back to sleep. You're too smart for your own good. No worries, baby bootcamp is in your near future. I will have my good sleeper back :) Despite our nights not being so great, naptime in your crib has been wonderful. I can now lay you down with your paci and lovie and you'll put yourself to sleep! Hallelujah!
Sizes: Still in size 3 diapers although your size 3 nighttime diapers are getting a little snug. Wearing mostly 9 month clothing but a lot of 6 month stuff still fits well. Still in 6 month footed pajamas.
Play: You're loving your jumperoo these days. You've actually figured out how to jump and you love all the different toys attached to it. Although we don't let you watch a lot of TV, you are mesmerized when we do. Direct TV has a "Baby First" channel with a lot of educational shows that you love! You get so tickled and squeal at the TV. We've used your bumbo a lot this month and you still really like it. Other favorite toys: vibrating/singing pig, link rings, any cold teether, and Sophie.
