Oh TWOodles! Emory is 2!

We celebrated Emory's 2nd birthday last Saturday! She loves Minnie Mouse so we went with that theme for her party. She had a blast and is still talking about it!
(FYI: 2 year olds don't like pictures. We take what we can get, smiles or no smiles!)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Emory!!!
We love you SO much!

2 Years Old

Happy 2nd Birthday, Emory!

I'm not sure how we got here so fast. The days are long and your Mama and Daddy are exhausted but the years just fly by. We wouldn't trade one second of your sweet little life for anything in this world. You're such a gift and we don't take you for granted.

Here's some things I want to remember about you on your 2nd birthday:

-You're a motor mouth. You always have something to say and you must have all the attention all the time. You don't play by yourself well, you want someone playing with you constantly.
-You're B-U-S-Y. You don't sit still. Ever. We've jokingly given you the nickname "Taz" :)
-You're so sweet. You love giving kisses and hugs to anyone that will take them.
-You're smart. If you hear it once, you know if forever. You mimic everything we do!
-You're poo pooing in the potty so well. You will tee tee too but you don't always recognize that urge. We're not pushing potty training, we're just letting you do your thing at your own pace.
-We got rid of your paci's a few weeks ago and you did much better than we expected. You kept biting holes in them and each time we found one that was "broken" we would throw it away. We finally got down to our last few and once they were gone, that was it. You'll still occasionally ask for it but we remind you that your paci's were broken so we had to throw them away.
-You love to "help" me do anything: fold laundry, clean, pick up toys, etc.
-You still put your "babies" face down on the floor and cover them up with "mankets" (blankets). It always cracks us up to walk in the living room and see 5-6 stuffed animals/babies laying face down on the ground, covered up.
-You love to watch "Elsa" and you sing "Let It Go" so loudly.
-In the car we have to listen to your "shongs" as you call them :)
-You pronounce a lot of stuff funny: "go pay" for go play, "no nuts" for donuts, "airpane" for airplane, you'll say "go round" for turn around, "go-raff" for giraffe, "shoap" for soap, and "gopish" for goldfish.

We love you big 2 year old girl and can't wait to celebrate you ALL day tomorrow!

22 Months

At 22 months this girl is a MESS!
She's hilarious and makes life so fun!

This is how she likes to ride in the car: all her "babies" and her cup. And if I try to leave one out she catches me, haha!

Some things I want to remember:
-I expected a lot of tears when we went to get her flu shot b/c she's so dramatic. But instead she looked at the nurse with her "mean eyes" and said, "no no, that's not nice!" HA!
-Noah (the dog) whines all the time when he's in his crate and she frequently tells him to "shhhh, be quiet!"
-She's still doing well with her manners: I hear a lot of  "Thank you", "yes m'am" and "excuse me"
-She loves to say her blessing. All we can make out is "God is great, for our food."
-She loves singing "Jesus Loves Me" before bed.
-She loves to "rock rock" her duck and monk monk. She lets them go night night by laying them on their bellies and covering them up.
-She gets SO excited to see us, even if I just run the grocery store and come right back, she acts like I've been gone for months. The sweetest!!!
-Loves puzzles and books
-Very bossy and very curious about how stuff works.
-12 teeth
-Size 4 diapers, 2T clothing
-Poo pooing in the potty regularly, still doesn't recognize the urge to tee tee.

20 Months

Emmy is 20 months old!

She is a BUSY bee and is keeping her Mama and Daddy on their toes!

- She has 11 teeth
-She started showing interest in the potty and has poo poo'd several times
-She's saying a lot of phares these days! There's too many to list but a few of our favorites are "Daddy's mote (remote)" and "God is great"
-She loves to say her blessing before eating
-She's very polite. She says "thank you, Mama" 100 times a day and says "excuse me" at appropriate times.
-She adores her teacher, Ms. Inora.
-She must have a bowl and spoon before she will eat
-Loves her milk
-She loves her paci but she only gets it when she's sleeping or in the car.
-Loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Happy 20 Months baby love!
We love you so much!

18 Months

Happy 18 Months to our sweet Emmy!
The months are cruising by but we're having so much fun!
Sunday lunch.. As long as we bring the cheerios this girl is a happy camper!
Mommy love <3

Water baby
Since she's obsessed with all water activities we decided to buy a water table to beat the heat this summer! Needless to say, it was a hit!
The "are you really taking another picture, Mom??" look. She's sassy and she knows it!

This man loves his baby girl and will do anything to make her laugh, including wearing her pink bath towel on his head! She's one lucky little lady!

At 18 Months:
- She talks all. the. time. She says a ton of words but here's a few just for the record (Mama, Daddy, dog, bye bye, hey, night night, nose, eyes, mouth, teeth, bow, eat, yo yo's (cheerios), milk, thank you, poo poo)
- She loves "school" and claps when we drive up. She can name two of her friends, Bay Bay (Bailey) and Jack.
- She can name quite a few animals and their sounds (horse, cow, sheep, dog, cat, monkey, bird)
- Eats mostly anything. She's really getting the hang of a spoon.
- Still loves her milk and water but she calls anything in a sippy cup milk.
- Following more simple commands: "take this the Mama/Daddy", "throw it in the garbage", "sit down", "put your shoes on", "go get in your chair"
- She will tell us when she's poo poo'd and hold her nose and say "stinky"
- Loves to sing her ABC's but it sounds like "B B B B B"
- She dances to any music
- She's obsessed with her lovie and swaddle blanket and has to have them in the car and when she goes to sleep
- She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the "Hot Dog" song
- Still a great sleeper. Usually in bed by 7:45 and sleeps until we wake her up for school at 6:45.

I can't believe this baby is half way to 2 years old.
We love her more with each passing day!!!

More Fourth Fun!

Emory had a little patriotic picnic and parade at her school last Thursday! John and I were both off work so we got to go and celebrate with our girl! They were suppose to picnic outside but it was just too hot so we took the party inside with the air conditioner!

She thought she was so big having her Mama and Daddy at her school; she wanted to point out all the animals on the mural before we left!
Such a fun afternoon with her! We look forward to many more school parties :)
