Emory, you are 5 months old!!!
Every month has been great but you are seriously SO much fun right now! You are full of smiles all. the. time! You still "talk" non-stop, laugh out loud A LOT, and squeal with excitement, especially if your Daddy is playing with you. You are consistently rolling from your back to your belly but you have only rolled from belly to back a handful of times; you're almost there though! You love to play on the floor! When I come to pick you up from daycare you're usually asleep on the play mat. They say that's where you're the happiest and you play yourself right to sleep.
We haven't had any sickies this month so the last stats we have are from your 4 month appointment which was about a week after you turned 4 months old!
Stats from 4 month appt:
Weight: 16lbs 3oz (90th%)
Length: 26 3/4 (98th %)
(Daddy is thrilled about your height! He does not want you to be 5'1 like your Mama!)
You again did really well with your shots! I always give you Tylenol the first day and you usually just nap a little extra.
Eating: Your formula hasn't changed, still on Similac Alimentum and taking 5-6oz every 3-4 hours (about 30oz per day). We did try giving you 6oz with every bottle to see if you would consistently make it 4 hours in between feedings but you didn't make it 4 hours all the time at daycare so we went back to 5oz. You don't take very long naps at daycare like you do at home which is why I think you don't make it the full 4 hours. On the weekends it's usually not a problem! I can't wait to start feeding you baby food! We decided to hold out until you're 6 months old which is what's now recommended (the rules change often!). Just in the last few weeks you've become really interested in what Mama and Daddy are putting in their mouths so I have a feeling you're going to love it!
Sleep: Thankfully, you're still a great sleeper! After bath and bottle, we put you in your sleep sack, give you your giraffe lovie, and rock you for a few minutes while you fall asleep. Once we lay you down, you immediately turn onto your belly. Sometimes being on your belly all night and not being able to roll back over wakes you up, but not too often. Still going down anywhere from 8:30-9:30 and we wake you up at about 6:15 to get ready for daycare. On the weekends you'll usually sleep until 7-7:30.
Sizes: We moved you to size 3 diapers and you're still wearing the size 3 nighttime diapers. You're wearing all 6 month clothing and some 9 month things even fit!
Play: Playtime is so much fun! You still love your elephant, the oball, and your link rings. You're getting the hang of the jumperoo! It's fun to watch you figure out how all the toys on there work. You don't sit in the bumbo much but you do like it! You're constantly chewing on everything but there's not a tooth in sight. Sophie the giraffe is your favorite teething toy! You have a bib on at all times (except when sleeping) and I change it multiple times per day. The drool is one thing I won't miss!
Ok, now for some pictures from your fifth month:

This is how you sleep now; on your tummy with your booty in the air. On this particular morning, you slept until 9:00 a.m.! Daddy and I didn't know what to do with ourselves.
Daddy was on one of his many trips away this summer so we sent him a good morning picture! We're so thankful for our iPhones!
